Did you enjoy Tom Hanks and Julia Roberts when they starred in 'Charlie Wilson's War'? Well, they must've enjoyed working together because they've teamed up again for a new comedy, 'Larry Crowne,' according to Nikki Finke's Deadline Hollywood Daily.
I'm told that Hanks will play the title character, a man forced to reinvent himself and find a new career as he navigates the second act of his life. It's a comedy, but it's a relatable premise (especially for me). Larry Crowne is the first feature Hanks has directed since 1996’s now classic music pic That Thing You Do!
Tom confirmed the news on his new twitter account.
Hey. My 2nd tweet! @NIKKIFINKE is right - http://bit.ly/4sx12Z. LARRY CROWNE w/ J Roberts and me, shooting 2010. More to come.
Are you looking forward to this?
